　　1. 我們是法國(guó)人，他們是德國(guó)人。

　　誤：We are Frenchmen, and they are Germen.

　　正：We are Frenchmen, and they are Germans.

　　析：Frenchman（法國(guó)人）其復(fù)數(shù)形式是Frenchmen，而German（德國(guó)人）的復(fù)數(shù)形式是Germans。

　�。�.王教授給我提了一些好建議。

　　誤：Professor Wang gave me some good advices.

　　正：Professor Wang gave me some good advice.

　　析：advice是不可數(shù)名詞，不可在其后加ｓ變?yōu)閺?fù)數(shù)，也不可在其前面用不定冠詞an。如說(shuō)“一項(xiàng)建議”，可說(shuō)a piece of advice.

　　注意：help雖然無(wú)復(fù)數(shù)形式，但常見(jiàn)有不定冠詞。如：Computer is a great help in research.

　　3. 我們學(xué)校有九百多孩子。

　　誤：There are more than nine hundreds students in our school.

　　正：There are more than nine hundred students in our school.

　　析：dozen,hundred, thousand等詞前面有數(shù)詞表示明確具體的數(shù)目時(shí)，后面不管有沒(méi)有of都不用復(fù)數(shù)形式。如：

　　I have collected over three hundred Chinese stamps since I came here.

　　4. 昨天她買(mǎi)了幾十個(gè)雞蛋。

　　誤：She bought dozen of eggs yesterday.

　　正：She bought dozens of eggs yesterday.

　　析：當(dāng)dozen, hundred, thousand等詞的前面沒(méi)有數(shù)詞，表示籠統(tǒng)的數(shù)目時(shí)，則用復(fù)數(shù)形式，后面接of，如：

　　Thousands of years ago, the kings of Egypt built strong tombs for themselves.

　　5. 她長(zhǎng)著棕色頭發(fā)，藍(lán)眼睛。

　　誤：She has brown hairs and blue eyes.

　　正：She has brown hair and blue eyes.

　　析：hair作“毛發(fā)”總稱(chēng)，是集體名詞，用作單數(shù)。但是，當(dāng)hair被看成是“毛發(fā)”總體的每一根的個(gè)體時(shí)，則是可數(shù)名詞，有單數(shù)復(fù)數(shù)之分。比較：

　　My mother has grey hair

　　我母親滿(mǎn)頭白發(fā)。（頭上全是白發(fā)，沒(méi)有黑發(fā)）

　　My mother has grey hairs.

　　我母親有些白發(fā)。（頭發(fā)絕大多數(shù)是黑的，只有少數(shù)白發(fā)）
