Dear David, How are you? I’m glad that you are interested in the traditional Chinese festival—the Spring Festival.

The Spring Festival is one of the most important festivals in China which comes on January 1st in lunar calendar. On Chinese New Year’s Eve, families get together to have a big dinner. People usually have something delicious such as fish, tofu and dumplings. Besides, people like setting off fireworks. During the festival, people visit relatives and wish each other good luck. And children can get lucky money from their parents and relatives. People, especially children like this festival because they can wear new clothes and have a long vacation. And it’s a time for families to get together.
