　　許多家長(zhǎng)寧可考多遍PET也不想?yún)⒓覭ET診斷，從而忽視了KET診斷對(duì)于銜接PET診斷的重要性，由于不了解診斷的難度，認(rèn)為PET對(duì)于KET來(lái)說(shuō)就像是小學(xué)一年級(jí)升入二年級(jí)，實(shí)際上PET的難度跨度非常的大，如果KET是小學(xué)一年級(jí)，那么PET就好比初一。在KET中要求孩子規(guī)定寫(xiě)作完成目標(biāo)僅35-45詞，而PET的作文為兩篇，其中一篇為100詞的大作文，這對(duì)于無(wú)論是語(yǔ)法詞匯還是邏輯思維都有著很高的要求，而PET診斷的閱讀文章難度也較KET大得多，詞匯量要求在4500(國(guó)內(nèi)高考3500)，閱讀題型復(fù)雜，要求邏輯判斷、詞匯理解和生活常識(shí)都有很好的基礎(chǔ)。許多學(xué)員根本無(wú)法看懂文章，只能憑感覺(jué)，正確率極低。PET聽(tīng)力速度較快，詞匯量大，每個(gè)選項(xiàng)均會(huì)設(shè)陷阱，所以沒(méi)有很好的聽(tīng)力功底是很難通過(guò)的，所以良好的基礎(chǔ)非常的重要。

　　在準(zhǔn)備的過(guò)程中，孩子需要熟悉和適應(yīng)診斷的重要環(huán)節(jié)，劍橋五級(jí)診斷的聽(tīng)力都放在較后部分，PET診斷筆答部分需要1小時(shí)10分鐘，如果沒(méi)有很好的適應(yīng)過(guò)程，通常就會(huì)發(fā)生體力消耗過(guò)大聽(tīng)力錯(cuò)誤率達(dá)到70%;時(shí)間安排不合理未完成第二篇作文(15分);來(lái)不及涂寫(xiě)答題卡。而FCE診斷更是長(zhǎng)達(dá)接近4小時(shí)，所以沒(méi)有很好的適應(yīng)過(guò)程很可能前功盡棄�？忌粫�(huì)涂答題卡、寫(xiě)成英文名、填空多寫(xiě)、未標(biāo)題號(hào)等情況屢見(jiàn)不鮮。更重要的是口語(yǔ)診斷占三分之一，考察形式多樣。
